About Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-chemical and non-invasive procedure that uses a spray that contains microcrystals, which are used to remove the outer layer of dead, dry skin cells that will give the patient a younger and healthier looking skin. The treatment is used to reduce wrinkles, face lines, age spots, acne scars and undesired pigmentation that appear on the skin over time.

Microdermabrasion Procedure

In a Microdermabrasion treatment, the doctor will direct a stream of micro aluminum oxide crystals via a hand piece, which is held onto the skin. The dermabrasion crystals exfoliate the skin and it creates a mild suction which removes the skin debris and crystals. The treatment will help the skin to produce thicker and healthier layers, so a few sessions may be required for better results. After 5 – 12 weeks, the outcomes from the treatment will be visible.
