About Calf Augmentation

Calf Augmentation is a cosmetic surgery generally performed on men, but can be performed on women as well who want to improve the appearance of the leg. Calf implants are not just done to improve the look of the leg but also enhance the appearance of the whole body. Calf implants improve the appearance of the body and also makes the patient feel more self confident with their body.

Calf Augmentation Procedure

Calf augmentation is done on an outpatient basis and takes around an hour to complete. During the procedure local anesthesia is done so the patient does not feel any discomfort during the procedure.  The surgeon will create a pocket in the calf to place the calf implants on the upper inside or outside of the leg, depending on the appearance the patient wants to achieve. Once the implants are placed the incisions will be closed with sutures and a bandage will be applied around the incision site to reduce swelling and discomfort. During a calf augmentation, liposuction can be performed on the ankle and leg to create a thinner and more defined look.
