EMOT Hospital was formed in 1986 by Prof. Dr. Arslan Bora and Prof. Dr. Sait Ada. They first opened up a private clinic. At that time they were also working in SSK İzmir – Buca Egitim Hastanesi as chief interns. As two professors they joined together in the project to form a hand surgery and microsurgery center. For this project Exp. Fzt. Firdevs Kul ve Op. Dr. Fuat Özerkan left their jobs in US and joined in. At the moment EMOT Hospital is serving patients coming from all around Turkey specifically in hand and foot accidents and diseases.
EMOT’un kuruluş öyküsü, 1986 yılında Prof. Dr. Arslan Bora ve Prof. Dr. Sait Ada’nın İzmir’de ortak muayenehane açmasıyla başladı. O dönemde, eş zamanlı olarak SSK İzmir – Buca Eğitim Hastanesi’nde başasistanlık yapmakta olan iki profesör, birlikte el cerrahisi ve mikrocerrahi merkezi oluşturma projesini hayata geçirmek üzere yola çıktılar. Bu oluşum için ABD’deki görevinden ayrılan Uzm. Fzt. Firdevs Kul ve Op. Dr. Fuat Özerkan da bu projeye dahil oldu.
